Everything I like is pretty much indie from art to music. I have a thing for picking out actors who.just have other sh!t to do other than act on the big screen lol. I'm a fan of Bill Skarsgard and after 18 years of age, if he wasn't dying early in the film, then he's barely in it lol. I can see his current reasons for not being the leading man would be due to having a family back home and needing to get back home as soon as possible. I guess its better than ever for him to come back after building AND sustaining a life behind the camera, as well as taking less critically acclaimed roles so his confidence can come back tenfold. According to his articles, it was anxiety and being pushed into stardom too soon and feared that people would tire of him - I don't know. Underneath it all, Josh talked himself out of a lot of chances to have the spotlight on him. Batman would've given him that chance to test out his abilities to be a leading man. Where he doesn't feel as if he can carry a serious film on his own back. I truly do feel like there's some insecurity there with Josh. He has the star power despite not being in the limelight until recently. I really want him on the big screen carrying out the film as a lead just like Ben Affleck (his peer). Aaron didn't steal his thunder and he used his scenes to take it back seamlessly - no unneeded aggression used. In black mirror, he did great with the predictable story line. Josh will be on the big screen theatrically fighting it out with the great actor Cillian Murphy and I've been wondering if he can hold his own. I think that's one thing I'm excited about when it comes to Oppenheimer. Watching his indie films shows you how better he gets over time. Everyone else feels that he left film but josh stuck to selling scripts he writes and doing indie films. I absolutely love that I can talk about him and his filmography with someone because others can't really do it. I also use watch party sites that use virtual computer software. I use a vpn to watch it to keep protection on my computer. You can see how much he’s worked to progress as an actor so it’s satisfying to watch. But he still manages to shine even in scenes where he does no talking. The only thing is, like many of his projects, he isn’t the main actor and Oppenheimer has a MASSIVE cast. It was a joy to see him in Oppenheimer since it has been soooo long since I saw him in big screen and he seemed to really sink his teeth into that role- like he was really relishing it and he knocked it out of the park. The vast majority of his characters are complex people. Black Hawk Down took me a while because it’s literally just plot/action and those types of films are hard for me but it’s intriguing to me that he played a straightforward hero role in that one. I still ended up liking his character since they showed his love for family. He was great in Ida Red but took a backseat to the actor who played his older brother. I get what you’re saying about 6 Below but it has me biting my nails even though I knew he didn’t die in the end. Hopefully they’ll be made available since he seems to be doing more high profile stuff nowadays. Thank you! I haven’t been able to find Bunraku or I Come w The Rain. Have you seen Ida Red? What were your thoughts? I loved this movie cause he's not a good guy at all lol. I'm trying to watch Black Hawk Down but its soooo depressing lol. Pearl Harbor can be a fun watch for the romantic dynamic. I love Bunraku, Resurrecting the Champs, Oh lucy, "O" and August. How did you feel bout "Gone with the Rain" ? I have to watch it again because I still don't completely understand it. I'm going to the movies this saturday to see Oppenheimer and might leave a review when I get back. His "bitchy" and psycho roles suit him so well. I found the link for August (if you want it) lolol It took me some days but I eventually found it. I think he did great with displaying pain and allowed the audience to feel it as well. I saw 6 Below and it was very depressing to watch. I feel like his character was the first and last time we'd ever see him as wholesome normal dude. I too felt like the psychology behind her murders wasa bit.
